The Perfect Formula…

for songwriting is within everyone’s reach. Is it really? Everyone?

Everyone with a desire to do so. Everyone with a passion. And interest at the least.

How about those who don’t have an ear for it? The latest I’ve heard, it was a deaf person performing at America’s Idol or Britain’s Got Talent, or one of those shows (I’ll let you do your research).

There is a reason why I can state that you’ve got it. And this reason goes beyond that inspirational quote that everything is possible if you believe.  Ready?

The reason is that there is no perfect formula for songwriting. There is no right way or wrong way to do it. Take Despacito, the most viewed, yet missing a number of components that are believed to make a hit (again, you can do your research for more).

Last fall I’ve attending a major music industry event, with lots of workshops and sessions. There was a diverse panel of successful people – including Katie Melua – with lot’s of experience on their shoulders. It was the conclusion they arrived to before a packed room of aspiring artists, all ears and eyes, eager to hear what it takes to make a hit.

So, connect with your heart, let the music flow and don’t be afraid to experiment.

Of course, you’ve got to know the basics of how to write a song and hon your skills to a degree. Here is an awesome place to learn from the best and get invaluable feedback – follow this link.

Keep polishing your skills and never stop learning!
